I recently read an article by Bill Donohue (here) regarding the recent December issue of Cosmo. The article in Cosmo, in it’s entirety, I will not subject myself to, but the snippets from it in Mr. Donahue’s article are sufficient enough to be clear that it is not worth buying. The following is my letter to the editor:
LETTER TO THE EDITOR OF COSMO MAGAZINE
REGARDING DECEMBER ISSUE:
Dear Editor,
I suppose I should not be surprised by your recent December issue for Cosmo, but even in the world of today, I am still dismayed at what people would will do to earn a buck. Exploitation of beloved Christian and Jewish Holidays is beyond my understanding, but understand it does not demean God or Christ (For you have no power over God), but it demeans and destroys the very people you say the magazine is meant to empower, Women. This only creates yet another avenue for which women are made objects of desire without the reverence that is owed to their beauty within. Men and women deserve to have sex that is supernatural and that does not merely satisfy the carnal but satisfies the body and SOUL. I am quite disappointed that you think that this is ethically expectable and pray that anyone that is subjected to this reading material, will be able to see it for what it is, not worth the paper it is written on.
