Forgiveness

I love this post by Matthew Leonard talking about the very important words in the Our Father, that we say in Mass every Sunday. “forgive us our trespasses, as WE FORGIVE those who trespass againest us”. Forgiving others has nothing to do with removing JUST consequences of others actions, but more about showing unconditional Love, as we have recieved unconditional Love from the Father. So, when I tell my friends & family to forgive (and remind myself), it’s not only about the one being forgiven. I know it’s required by God & necessary for thier well being. Our souls need to receive forgiveness and give forgiveness in order to have peace within! Amen!
